RUNNING FORM: Are you like me and notice that runner/walker that has wonderful form and it looks so easy and smooth?

RUNNING FORM: Are you like me and notice that runner/walker that has wonderful form and it looks so easy and smooth? There is a great article in the December 2017 Runners World https://www.runnersworld.com/training/a20864133/4-ways-to-master-your-running-form/
.
To highlight some questions that will help your form: Run Tall, one of my first coached told me to imagine that I had a piece of string attached to the top of my head pulling me up tall/straight. Watch how your arms move, like a trains wheels on the side of your body with the elbows back. Do not swing your arms in a chopping motion in front of your body (you lose a lot of energy that way). Be conscious of how your feet are striking the ground, be soft and quiet. When I am tired I strike hard by being aware I soften my strike. Lastly, something I learned from this article, when I get tired I slow down to conserve energy so I can complete my distance to goal. The article suggests that when fatigued you speed up for 10 second bursts every 5 to 7 minutes. I can’t wait to try this strategy!
